Administration

Diane Ladds 

   Diane  began as a volunteer and client in 2002 and continued on to work in the clinic since 2003. She has many functions at work and is knowledgable in several aspects of animal care. Diane has lived in Barrie for 10 years and enjoys everything it has to offer. Diane shares her household with her two daughters and her six cats, George, Dillon, Tippy, Mojo, Lily and Tinkerbell.

 

Heather Clark

Ever since the amazing team at Aldergrove Animal Clinic treated Heather's ill cat with such care and compassion in 2005, becoming a veterinarian has been her caeer of choice. Four years later, Heather joined the Aldergrove team as a high school co-op student and in the fall of  2008 and was added to the part time staff. In September 2009, Heather is off to begin her Biomedical Science Degree at the University of Guelph, a first step in hopes of practicing Veterinarian Medicine. While gone, Heather will miss all her family and friends, her crazy chocolate lab Tucker, and of course all the the staff, clients, patients and house cats at Aldergrove.

 

Linda Oster

    Linda came to Aldergrove Animal Clinic as a co-op student and with hard work and dedication, Linda found her new home with the Aldergrove team in 1999. Linda has enjoyed working in all aspects of the clinic but found that her true passion was interacting with the clients and their pets; and with that is very happy to fill the role as the front desk supervisor. Linda is married and has a son, a dog named Tugger and a cat named George. She enjoys gardening, hiking and spending quality time with her family.

 

Head Technician

Kathryn Grant, VT 

   Kathryn was born and raised here in Barrie. She grew up in a large family and has made Barrie her permanent residence. Her love and compassion for animals has made Aldergrove Animal Clinic her second home for an amazing 31 years. With hard work and dedication to her profession she has proudly achieved her role as Head Technician. Kathryn and her partner Jeff have one cat named Zsa Zsa who rules their household on a daily basis. Her favourite pastimes are gardening, bird watching, scary movies and spending time with family and friends.

Registered Veterinary Technicians

Sarah Warnica   

    Sarah joined the Aldergrove team in 2005. After graduating Seneca College in 2004, she moved back to Barrie with her husband and they now share their home with Keeta their dog, Milo the cat, Sunny the rabbit and Jerry and Elaine the goldfish.

 

Caren Dougal  

     Caren graduated in the spring of 2006 from the University of Guelph's Ridgetown College. Caren wrote and passed the Veterinary Technician National Exam in June of 2006 allowing her to become a Registered Veterinary Technician with the Ontario Association of Veterinary Technicians. After graduation, Caren started at a small animal practice in Tottenham and since 2007 have been a member of the Aldergove Animal Clinic team. Here, Caren works with clients on weight loss and healthy lifestyles for their pets. She currently has 2 pets, Joey, a 6 year Australian Cattle Dog and Gabby, a sweet brown tabby that she adopted from the college.

 

Nicola Abraham

      Nicola's interest in the veterinary field began when she started working at a small animal practice at the age of 14. Nicola graduated from the Veterinary Technician program at Centralia College in 1990. After successfully completing the registration exam she began employment at Aldergrove Animal Clinic in June of 1990. When not working, Nicola enjoys spending time with her two children and four pets, Sterling, a border collie cross and three cats, Annie, Willy and Merlyn, all adopted from Aldergrove.

Veterinary Technician

Sherrie Osmond    

   Sherrie's career in Animal Health Care began in 1989. Her technician credentials include The Cat Hospital in Toronto, Ryerson University and Guelph University. She joined the team at Aldergrove Animal Clinic in April 2008. Sherrie enjoys an active lifestyle with her husband and two children. Her feline companions are Smudgie, an 11 year old Cornish Rex and Gigibella, a 2 year old Aldergrove native.

Kelly Ottaway 

   Kelly started working at Aldergrove Animal Clinic on a volunteer basis in 2006 and was hired onto staff later that year. Kelly enjoys working with the animals and interacting with our clients. Kelly now attends Georgian College in the Veterinary Technician program. We are all very proud of her for making the Deans List this year!
